Britta's First Food Attempts

Here are some of Britta's first reactions to trying her first food (rice cereal)!

She actually liked it pretty well!  (Better, in fact, than most of her siblings!)  And, unlike the others who never really took to eating the rice and oatmeal cereals, she still really likes it!  (She also still loves holding a spoon while she's eating too.)  Love this girl!

So Pretty

Even when she picks her nose, she's just so pretty.

Warm March Days

March brought some fantastic weather and boy, were we excited to get back outside!!

We had to break out the sunhats for Miss B after her sweet puffy cheeks got a little sunburned after just 15 min on one 60 degree afternoon!  Christian was happy to be playing soccer outside again after a tough indoor season.
Kari was super happy to get her toes beautified again!
We even got to bust out the sidewalk chalk and popsicles one afternoon!
Britta loves her bouncy chair in the fresh air!
For my birthday, we all got together on an 80 degree afternoon (yes, I said 80 degrees in mid-March!) to hang out and have some root-beer floats (yummers!).  I have such thoughtful friends who were cool with putting this together with all of the kiddos since it was tough for me to get out in the evenings.

The boys

Britta also made a new friend!  My friend, Bridget, was holding Britta and they just started smiling at each other!

Britta and Avery--class of 2032 (I think!)

Future Kindergartner!

Kindergarten Round-up was back in March and Miss Kari was sooo excited!  It was a gorgeous day and Kari was excited to sport a springtime dress and even flip-flops!

The round-up part for the kids is fun for them.  They meet the kindergarten teachers, see the other kids they'll be going to school with, read a story, play a game, do a craft.  Good stuff.
Contrast that with the round-up part for the parents.  Filling out paperwork (that we could easily fill out at home or even online), listening to a power point presentation of information that is in a folder in front of you (that, again, you could read at home--or at least not have to have it read to you).  Oh, and bc Kari is my third child, I've also heard  this same information twice before.  Sure wish they'd at least have a craft or a game to play for the grown-ups ;).

But, I suck it up b/c I love my children and I am very excited for Kari and this next phase of life for her!

Become a Ninja in Six Easy Steps

Who knew it was so simple?

Pajama Party with Auntie Erin

We celebrated my sister's birthday in style...comfortable style, that is.  Everyone wore their pajamas to her little soiree and we all enjoyed showering our Auntie Erin with love and homemade gifts:-).
I LOVE the sweet looks between Erin and Kari!

Kari and Erin also seem to share similar tastes in head-gear.

Boys Night Out

Christian needs some solid guy-time since he's surrounded by girls most of the time at home.  And, what's more manly than a hockey game?
He had a great night with Daddy, Grandpa, and Uncle Kyle!

Who's the favorite?

Can you tell who the favorite child is from these photos?
(Hint:  She's the one who everyone wants to hold.)

We love our Britta!
