Pre-Christmas Church Pictures

Each year I try and get a picture of the kids in their church clothes on the Sunday before Christmas.  This year was especially funny.  Apparently, not getting to hold Britta is just too much for Kari.

 But, she's all smiles once Miss B is in her arms :-).

Memorial Day

Most years, we haven't done too much for Memorial Day.  We normally just enjoy having a day off with Cubby and maybe BBQ with my mom and Harvey.  This year though, some friends from church decided to have a couple of families over and thankfully, the weather turned out to be beautiful and it was a great night!

Kids (and Cubby) enjoyed playing, jumping, and running around.

I got motivated and decided to bring a festive dessert.
 It was delicious!

Juliana was my little buddy for the evening and so we had a little photo shoot.  She cracks me up with her funny faces and personality!

 BTW:  Juliana also decided that weekend that she was ready to potty train...herself.  Yup, she potty trained herself!  Not only have I never had a child potty train this early (I've always had a time when we've had two in diapers for a bit), but I've also never had one potty train themselves.  And, it's every bit as awesome as you can imagine.  Sooooo proud of my big girl!!!

A New Dress...and the Best Picture Ever

My mom made Juliana this sweet little dress and I wanted to get a few pictures of her in it one Sunday after church.  Of course, all of the children wanted in on the photo opp so I took a few pictures of the group and then attempted to get one of Juliana by herself.  The two big kids were okay with this, but there was one little 4 yr. old who wasn't so thrilled about it.  This led to one of my favorite pictures that I've ever taken.  I still chuckle each time I look at it.

 I did manage to get a couple of pictures with Juliana alone (see above :-)), but also one of my little girls together.  Kari's face is suddenly so sweet and the epitome of sisterly love.  Awwwww....

Sweet Lil' Puddin' Face

For a couple of weeks now, Kari has been eyeing the pudding that Christian has been eating every once and a while after lunch. I'd offer her a taste, but she'd shake her head and that would be that. Last week, however, she had a change of heart and these pictures are the result. Hi-larious!

(And, of course, big brother didn't want to pass up a photo opp!)

Yin and Yang

These are my two new favorite pictures. I call them Yin and Yang.
