More Museum Fun...

Over Thanksgiving break, we went to the Children's Museum as one big happy family!  Even Emily had a fun time.  (You're never too old for play!)

Our awesome super heroes!

Children's Museum Fun

Took my little girls to the Children's Museum one morning.  Very busy, very fun.  We did water play, shopped, baked, rode the carousel, and dressed up like the super heroes we are.

Trip to Lincoln!

A couple of weeks ago Cubby took a Friday off of work and we took the kids down to the Lincoln Children's museum!  The kids had a wonderful time playing...I'll let the pictures do the talking!
Juliana LOVED the "veterinarian office"--for obvious reasons
Can we take him home??

 Shopping in "the store" area...
Emily and Kari made me some delicious pizza!

Christian liked being "on TV"
And the big kids look pretty tough on this Harley

We did endure some whining though (par for the course, right?)--This is Emily's whining face :-)

Juliana may have a future in medicine...

Emily enjoyed channeling Grandpa Vic, playing "radiologist"

Then, as a surprise to the kids, Miss Caitlin met up with us!  Her class for the day had gotten canceled and she came over after work to play!

Juliana enjoyed playing in the water (no surprise there!)

We also did some face painting!  I did Christian's "tiger" face and I'm pretty sure he had the coolest face in the museum that day!

Christian and Daddy also set up for a major game of chess!
The kids also played "astronauts in space" and climbed in the rocket ship, pretended to sleep in anti-gravity, and even drive a moon vehicle!

Here are the kiddos and Miss Caitlin

And, a failed attempt at a family shot!
 Such a fun day!

A Trip to Lincoln

Emily, face painting
Part of what made Spring Break so successful was that Cubby took last Thursday off!  (He had Good Friday off and so the 4-day weekend was AWESOME.)  The kids have been begging to go down to the Lincoln Children's Museum and we decided Thursday was "the day."

Everyone had a great time!  Here are the pictures to prove it!
Juliana, exploring

Kari, center stage

The water area was a big hit.  We probably could have spent a lot longer playing there, but, it was getting close to lunchtime.

Juliana LOVED splashing around.  They even had these little seats for babies to sit and splash.  Perfect for this girl.

Splish splash!

For lunch we walked around the corner to the kids' favorite pizza place, Sam and Louie's!  Everyone was so well-behaved and we got many compliments on our nice family...awww... :-).

After lunch, we went back for more fun on the top floor.  I wish I'd taken some more pictures up there...crafting, Kari dressing up as an astronaut (hilarious), "flying" the plane or space shuttle, or even playing the giant chess game.  But, we were busy playing.

Needless to say, we were pretty tired when we left.  Kari was asleep no more than 5 min after we started home.  Her little nap lasted about 40 min and then she woke up screaming and crying.  Juliana (who had not napped yet that day) stayed awake the whole way home!  Our summer road trip this summer should be lots' of fun....
