Visitor's Week

Visitor's Week at dancing is always a bit of an adventure.  Yes, it's super cute to be able to watch your little dancer(s)...but I never quite know how the baby/toddler that is watching will behave.  THIS time, however, it went off without a hitch and both Britta and Ju Ju behaved extremely well during Kari's class (and Britta also did well during Juliana's class).  Woot!
Just look at Kari's cute little smile!

And Britta got to wear her own little ballet slippers!
Just look at those cute little feet!

Ellie, Alice, and Kari (two of Kari's friends!)
Kari got to start tap this year and that's exciting stuff for these kindergartners!
Next up, Ju Ju's class!  Preschoolers prancing around in a circle--sooo cute.  Juliana was so excited that it was HER turn to have visitors in dancing!

Mary Lorraine is her teacher as well and is just soooo engaging with the kiddos.  She makes class so much fun for them!

"Me Too's" Turn

Being three has its perks and one of them is that you are officially old enough to start dance class!  Miss Juliana's turn for ballet has arrived and she thinks it is just fabulous.  Miss Mary Lorraine is her teacher and is so great at engaging the kids and keeps ballet super fun for these preschoolers.  They also get to do basic tumbling--which is an added bonus for all who get to witness it.

Tap-Tap-Tap

This year Kari gets to start tap in dancing!

So exciting (and loud--yippee!)!
Kari has Mary Lorraine as her teacher again and even has two friends in her class, Alice and Ellie.

She loves to dance and is just so cute!

Dance Recital 2015

Next up for Miss Kari-belle, dancing!!  Her little preschool class did a ballet dance to "Where is the Cake?"  She was lovely and even got to be the girl at the end who "tastes" the cake!  (A grand honor, for sure.)

And, after rehearsal in the morning and a show in the afternoon, this dancer was done!

Kari the Red-Nosed Reindeer

Of course, Ju Ju wanted in on the photo-op.
Each Christmas, the dancers all put on an informal recital.  This year, Kari's class danced to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  It was so cute!  She had been singing it all week and to see the dance that went with it was really fun.

 Such great moves!

Here is Kari's little class--they all got to wear whatever Christmas attire they wanted.  Very festive indeed!

Pretty Little Dancer

Kari is continuing in dance this year.  She is such a pretty little dancer!  I got to go to visitor's night in November and watch her and her little class.  So cute!

Kari has such pretty turn-out and pointed toes!

 STRETCH!!!

She had her very own cheering section.  Juliana sat soooo still (a BIG change from last year) and it was also Britta's first time to dancing too :-).
Kari's teacher, Mary Lorraine (also the studio's owner), does a wonderful job of engaging the girls and showing them what they need to be doing.

Keeping the attention of all those little 3-5 yr olds is a lot of work!

Emily's (last?) Dance Recital

Emily's dance recital was the first weekend in June.  She did two numbers--a tap dance to "Mr. Postman" and a ballet dance to a Sound of Music medley.  Both were very cute :-).

The girls in Em's dance class were all very sweet.  It was fun watching her sit and giggle with them during rehearsal.

This is Emily's teacher (and the studio owner), Mary Lorraine.  Emily's has really enjoyed having her as her teacher--she is excellent with the girls and makes class fun.  Dancing, though, does not seem to be Emily's first love and she wants to try other sports for a year.  We just want her to be happy and find out what she does love :-).  This fall, she wants to try volleyball!  We are proud of her efforts and courage in exploring all of these fun activities.

Kari's First Dance Recital!

Kari's first dance recital was a couple of weekends ago!  And, for all those who didn't think it possible, yes, I was able to get her hair up into a bun!  Possibly the world's smallest bun, but a bun nevertheless!  (It took a LOT of water, gel, hairspray, and tiny clips for all of the little strands.)  In any case, it was cute and she was very excited!

Kari's dress rehearsal was in the morning, her show was later that afternoon so I got to take some pictures before they all went in to practice.

Kari was a bumblebee this year and boy was she cute in her little costume!
Have you seen a cuter beehive??  Didn't think so!

Finale practice--ready for their big bow!  (Kari is the 5th one in from the right.)
After dress rehearsal we went home, had lunch, and rested a bit before heading back for the "big show!"

No stage fright for this little bee!  She danced beautifully, smiled big, and had a great time!  We all enjoyed watching her dance and were all so proud of our Kari-belle!
