Christian's Baptism

Christian's baptism was SUCH a sweet day.  We had such an outpouring of love and support from so many wonderful friends and family members.  Christian was all smiles.  We are so proud of his decision to be baptized.

Warning:  this post has a LOT of pictures.  Just keep scrolling :-)

Grandma Karen and Grandpa Harvey, finishing up the food prep, of course!
Below:  our yummy refreshments and picture displays.

All ready!
So many friends and family came to support Christian
Our awesome Sister Missionaries who filled up the font when the Elders bailed on us last minute (GRRRRRR)....
Since Christian's was the only baptism that day, I was really able to involve so many family members in the program itself.  It was awesome.  Emily conducted the music.  Grandpa Harvey read a scripture.  Grandpa Chris and Grandma Karen both gave talks.  Uncle Kyle sang a song, and Grandma Beckie gave a prayer.

Here's a picture of Christian receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.
(His piano teacher, Jill Plumb, got this sneaky shot and sent it to me :-).)
After the baptism and confirmation, it was time to party:-).
Christian's best friends
Christian's Sunbeam teacher, Sister Boykin
Our sweet neighbor, Ms. Marcia
Great-Grandparents, Stan and Carolyn
Grandma and Grandpa Hudson
And even Miss Caitlin!
Here are just a few more from earlier in the morning :-)

It was a wonderful day filled with so much love for our sweet son, Christian.  We love him so much and pray that he will be guided by the Holy Ghost throughout his life to choose the right, be kind to others, and follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Brother-Sister Bond

Christian loves his baby sister.  And she loves him.  Christian loves to make Britta laugh, give her soft head kisses, and read stories to her.  And, while it's always wonderful when any of the children love on each other, I think it's especially sweet when I see Christian showing such tenderness.  It makes me think what a wonderful husband and father he will become one day :-).

Meeting More Family and Heading Home

Auntie Erin and Miss Britta
While in the hospital, we had some visitors!  Here are just a few of the family members that  came to meet our Miss Britta.  (My Grandma came too, but those pictures are on her camera.  She came up after delivery and I was so tired I didn't think to take any pictures of my own!)
