HAL Night

Emily is in a group called "HAL" (High Ability Learners).  Each year, they pick a topic of interest and study it and at the end of the year they put together a presentation and display to showcase what they've learned.  (Like a Science Fair.)

For fourth grade, Emily studied cryptozoology (or, the study of mythological creatures.  ie Bigfoot, Nessie, the Abominable Snowman).  She put together a wonderful little power-point presentation and really knew her stuff!  It was so fun to learn about what she studied in the past year.

After Emily gave her presentation to her teacher, she was able to roam around a bit and check out what her friends had done.  Emily's bestie, Ella, had studied poetry.
 Such sweet (and silly) girls!

Peek-a-boo!

Britta loves playing peek-a-boo with the curtains in our bedroom.  They're really light-weight and airy and she giggles and kicks her little legs whenever they go over her face.
A "Mommy and Me" selfie.
I'm a tad overly-excited with her cuteness, I guess.

Park Night

It was a gorgeous (and really warm) April evening so we took the kiddos to a park.  Everyone really enjoyed the swings.  I love it when the days get longer and we can be outside in the evenings more!

Check out those bare little tootsie toes and her sweet face!!

When You've Had a Rough Day...

I like to pout with my blankie on my head too, Kari.

She Sits! (And Kari the Kitty)

April 9, 2015.  Britta sits independently!  We are pleased as punch and very excited for her!

Big sister Juliana is very proud as well :-).

And now for something completely different.  Kari the kitty-cat.  Sometimes this girl is just so weird.  Seriously though, I love her imagination though and how much she enjoys pretending!  Meow!

Kari Eats a Grape and Britta's Bathtime Fun

Kari is notoriously picky with her eating.  Like, the only fruit she eats is applesauce.  No veggies.  No milk.  No meat.  She basically survives on breakfast foods, grilled cheese, go-gurts, snack foods like pretzels, water, and apple juice.  So, when she agreed to try a grape one night, I had to document it.  Sadly, even though she "liked" it, it has not made it into her regular rotation of foods.  {Sigh}

And...on to the happiest baby on earth!  This girl loves her baths and kicks and splashes to her little heart's content.  Isn't she DARLING?!

Easter 2015

I'm going to try again.  I'm tempted to only hit the "big" stuff and try and catch up.  But, I want to document the "little" things as well since I want our family history to reflect those things as well.  So, I'll just do my best and see where that takes me.

Easter this year was really nice.  Being Conference weekend and all, we could relax a bit and not have to rush to get ready for church right away in the morning.  So, the kids had fun with their egg hunt and playing with a few little things they got in their baskets.  The pictures shall speak for themselves...

Later that evening, we hosted Easter dinner at our house!  It was a beautiful evening and the food and company were both wonderful.
