This year our family reunion is at Bear Lake, Utah. To prep and pack a family of seven (especially when a few of them are small children or babies) is a LOT of work. And, even though I felt like we packed as lightly as we could, it still felt like we were packing everything and the kitchen sink!
The kids all did their best to "help" with the packing and preparations. Juliana modeled her new swim suit!
Emily sewed everyone their own "overnight bags" since we were going to be stopping halfway and staying overnight in a hotel. In these bags, we kept our swim suits, pjs, and a change of clothes. That way, when we stopped, all we needed to bring in from the van were our overnight bags, food, and toiletries.
And Britta tried out the nice umbrella stroller that my mom had (and ended up giving us bc it worked so well!)
A lot more work went into our packing, but it was worth it to take this fun trip and spend time with family that we don't get to see very often!
Our cousins stopped through on their way West. (We would be leaving a few days later to join them at the reunion!)
We'll see you guys soon!!
