Juliana's Preschool Halloween Party

Preschool Halloween parties are so cute.  The kids and their little costumes are darling and any type of game impresses them!

This is one of Juliana's teachers, Mrs. Marshall.  (She was also one of Kari's teachers.)  I just love her.  She just radiates joy and love for teaching and her little students.

Vala's with Ju Ju

Field trip time!  I got to go with Juliana and her class to Vala's pumpkin patch.  It had been raining, so we wore our boots and raincoats and prepared for being wet, but when we got there, the skies cleared and it was a beautiful morning!

The kids had fun learning about apples and then going out into the orchard and picking a few to bring home.  We went for a hayride and played for a little bit longer before heading back home.  Grateful I was able to spend this one on one time with my Ju Ju.

First Day of Preschool

For the first day of preschool, Juliana chose to wear her new purple My Little Pony tshirt, pink Frozen skirt, and blue polka dotted tennis shoes.  Colorful and adorable!  She is also into being a ham for the camera with her poses.
 More poses outside of preschool.

Almost every time we come in, the girls like to "hide" behind this little counter,
and then "surprise" me when I walk by.

Ju Ju and Eden--say "cheese!"

Preschool Preview

Juliana was so excited to go to preschool!  She had been watching for two years each time I brought Kari and now it was finally her turn!  It was so great to see how comfortable she already was with her surroundings and teachers (since Kari had both of them, Juliana knows them well!)
Juliana's best friend, Eden, is also in her class.  This made the transition even easier as she already had a friend to play with!  (Side note:  I grew up with Eden's mom!  Her grandma and my mom are very good friends as well so it's extra sweet that these two girls are third generation friends!)

Kari's Last Day of Preschool (Sniff, Sniff!)

Kari's last day of preschool was so bittersweet for me!  I was so happy for her that she had such a wonderful experience, but it was hard to admit that she was moving on and growing up.  She made some sweet little friends and learned so much!  Her teachers were caring, fun, and Christ-centered women.  It was a great year!
They put on an end-of-the-year performance.  It was so cute and I was amazed at how many songs they had learned for it!

Congratulations, Kari!

Mrs. Carlson and Mrs. Wert
LOVE these women!!
I love Ju Ju/s face in this picture.  It's sooo her.

These were Kari's besties this past year.  Ella (left) and Sofia.  SUCH sweet little girls and the girls have kept in contact even though they all go to different schools this year.  I love it that Kari still gets to play with them!

Field Trip with Grandpa

Kari's preschool class went on a field trip to the Rose Theater.  They saw the play, "Charlotte's Web."  Grandpa got to go with Kari and they had lots of fun!
After the show, Kari got a special McD's treat and then everyone got to play in Grandpa's truck after school got out.

Moms and Muffins

This year's Moms and Muffins was on the same day as Kari's birthday party.  It was super cute and I loved spending time with just my big preschooler!  They sang some cute little songs and then we did a craft, had some muffins (just juice for Kari, thanks), and then played in the gym a bit.  It was great!

Such a funny little selfie!

Do Gooder

This sweet girl goes to a wonderful preschool.  It's attached to an assisted living center.  Every now and then the classes go over to "the Village" and read stories or sing songs with the elderly people living there.

One afternoon, children from the various classes were invited to go sing some holiday songs.  One of Kari's sweet friends' moms offered to bring Kari as I wasn't going to be able to take her (both Juliana and Britta take naps in the afternoon).  Kari was so excited to go and all of the kids had a wonderful time.

Preschool for Kari!

A couple of weeks after the big kids started school, it was Kari's turn!  She is back at the same preschool, but is now part of the 4/5 yr old "big kid" class.  We went one morning for a meet and great preview and she colored a very fancy picture of "Pot the Fox" for Britta :-).
The following Monday was her first day!  She was excited, but also pretty nervous as she has a new teacher this year and a few new faces in her class.  (She still knows about half of the class from last year, but, once again, just the start of something new is always a little daunting--especially for a 4 yr old!)

Juliana thought it was her first day of school too.
She was a tad disappointed that she couldn't stay....

And they're off!
Kari and one of her new teachers, Mrs. Carlson.  SUCH a sweet woman.
And this is what happened after lunch--big girls still need their rest :-).
We are so happy that Kari is in such a wonderful preschool.  She comes home singing all kinds of fun songs and with lots' of cute crafts and stories to share.
